AMA Sanctioned Charter Club #1584

Miniature Aircraft association of Westchester (MAAW) is a non-profit organization dedicated to building and flying radio-controlled aircraft. If you're considering entering the hobby, we certainly encourage you to attend one of our club meetings or to visit us at the MAAW field to see first hand what "flying R/C" is all about.

MAAW is Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) chartered club and for insurance purposes, all MAAW members are also required to be active members in the AMA. Our diverse membership represents a wide variety of backgrounds, professions, and ages. MAAW membership is open to all residents of Westchester County.

Proof of residency and a current AMA membership are required prior to joining and at the time of each membership renewal. Application forms for both AMA and MAAW memberships can be obtained from the MAAW membership director or by printing them. Adobe Reader will be needed to print all the forms, newsletters and files from this web page. Go here for more information.

Club Meetings

Meetings are held on the third Saturday of every month at 9am at the Croton Colonial Diner, 221 S Riverside Ave, Croton-On-Hudson, NY 10520, or at the field weather permitting.

REMINDERS

NO SMOKING IN THE PITS OR ON THE FLIGHTLINE (SMOKERS- DON’T LEAVE YOUR BUTTS SCATTERED ABOUT!) and everyone must have a valid frequency pin on the board when flying, even if you’re using 2.4 equipment, and regardless of how many pilots are in the air. Also, NO FLYING IN THE PARKING LOT, and NO FLYING WHILE THE FIELD IS BEING MOWED – This means YOU!

Membership

New Member and Renewal forms for 2022 are now available here to download. If you were a member in good standing for 2020/2021 you can use the mail renewal form, BUT your dues will be $125 if you renew after 3/1/22. If you were NOT a member in 2020/2021 use the standard application. Important– Please note dues have gone up for 2020. Standard renewal is now $100. New members are $100 plus a one time fee of $25. Junior memberships are now $25. Any questions contact the Membership Director using the link under “Contact Us”.
